These Platform Terms form an agreement between you and the operator of Casting Quarter when you create an account or use the app, website or related services. If you do not agree, do not use Casting Quarter.
1. About Casting Quarter
Casting Quarter is a casting platform that helps Artists discover casting opportunities and helps Casting Companies find suitable talent.
Casting Quarter provides technology for introductions and communication. It is not an employer, employment agency, talent agent, casting director, production company or party to arrangements made between users unless expressly stated otherwise.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Casting Quarter account. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or over.
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account.
Artists are responsible for keeping their profile, media, CV, skills, availability and application details truthful and up to date.
Companies are responsible for keeping their company profile, casting posts, contact information and project information truthful and up to date.
Users must not create fake accounts, impersonate another person or company, or use someone else's content without permission.
Users are responsible for keeping login details secure and for activity carried out through their accounts. Suspected unauthorised access must be reported promptly.
3. Company Verification
Company accounts may require moderator approval before they can fully use Casting Quarter.
Casting Quarter may request additional information to verify a company profile. Approval may be refused, delayed, suspended or removed if the information is incomplete, misleading or unsafe.
4. Castings
Companies must only post genuine casting opportunities.
Casting posts must not be misleading, discriminatory, fraudulent, unsafe, illegal or inappropriate.
Casting Quarter may hide, edit, suspend or remove casting posts that are reported or appear to break platform rules.
5. Artist Profiles And Media
Artists must only upload photos, videos, CVs, showreels and profile information that they have permission to use.
Artists must not upload illegal, abusive, sexual, exploitative, hateful, fraudulent or misleading content.
Casting Quarter may hide, suspend or remove artist profiles or media that are reported or appear to break platform rules.
Users keep ownership of content they submit. By uploading or posting content, users give Casting Quarter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate and promote the Casting Quarter service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for lawful backups, records already shared through the service, and content that must be retained for legal or safety reasons.
6. Applications And Shortlists
Artists can apply for castings where the app allows it.
Casting Companies can review applications, shortlist applicants and remove applicants from shortlist where appropriate. CV access is controlled and subject to the Artist's application or sharing permissions.
Shortlisting does not guarantee employment, engagement, payment or selection.
7. Messaging
Proposal messaging is available only where the app rules allow it, including account status, shortlist status, privacy settings and subscription status.
Users must keep messages professional and safe.
Users must not use messages for harassment, spam, scams, impersonation, abusive content, illegal activity or unsafe requests.
Casting Quarter may moderate, restrict or lock messaging where required for safety, account status, application status or platform misuse.
8. Subscriptions
Some Casting Quarter features require an active subscription.
Subscription titles, durations and current prices are displayed before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the selected period unless cancelled through the user's Apple account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the account and manages billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds under Apple's rules.
If a subscription expires or is cancelled, premium features may stop working.
Deleting a Casting Quarter account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Users must manage or cancel subscriptions separately in their Apple account settings.
These terms supplement the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. Apple's terms apply to the licence and App Store purchase where required.
9. Reports And Moderation
Users can report castings, profiles, messages or safety concerns.
Casting Quarter may review reports and take action, including requesting more information, warning users, hiding content, locking messages, suspending accounts, removing content or closing reports.
Casting Quarter may not be able to investigate every report immediately.
10. Safety
Users are responsible for making their own professional and personal safety decisions when communicating or working with others.
Casting Quarter does not guarantee that every artist, company, casting or message is accurate, safe or suitable.
Users should report suspicious, unsafe or inappropriate activity.
Users should independently verify identities, organisations, locations, contracts, working conditions and payment arrangements before attending auditions, travelling, sharing sensitive information or accepting work. Casting Quarter does not perform criminal-record, identity or financial checks on every user.
11. Prohibited Use
Users must not:
- break the law;
- post fake, misleading or fraudulent opportunities;
- impersonate another person or organisation;
- upload content they do not own or have permission to use;
- harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against others;
- send spam or scams;
- attempt to bypass app security, payments, verification or moderation;
- scrape, copy or misuse profile, media, casting or message data.
12. Intellectual Property
The Casting Quarter name, logo, app design, software and original platform content belong to the operator or its licensors. Users may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or misuse them except where applicable law permits.
13. Third-Party Services
Casting Quarter uses or links to services operated by others, including Apple and external websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. Casting Quarter is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
14. Account Suspension And Deletion
Users can request account deletion in the app. Deletion removes account access and account data where deletion is legally and technically possible.
Some records may be retained where required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute or moderation reasons.
Casting Quarter may restrict, suspend or terminate access where a user breaks these terms, creates risk for others, uses the service unlawfully, fails verification or threatens the security or operation of the platform. Where reasonable, the user will be told about the action and may contact support.
15. Availability And Disclaimers
Casting Quarter is provided on an "as available" basis. The platform does not guarantee continuous availability, that every opportunity will remain open, that users will receive work or applicants, or that user-provided information is complete or accurate.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Responsibility And Liability
Users are responsible for their own content, communications, decisions, contracts, travel, auditions, engagements, payments, taxes and compliance with laws that apply to them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Casting Quarter is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, lost opportunities, user conduct, off-platform arrangements or failures caused by services outside its reasonable control. Casting Quarter remains responsible where liability cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Changes To Casting Quarter Or These Terms
Casting Quarter may update, change, pause or remove features as the platform develops.
These terms may also be updated to reflect service, legal or safety changes. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible. Continued use after revised terms take effect means the revised terms apply.
18. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights and may also be entitled to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
